Synopsis
“I try to pay attention, it comes from inside. I have to concentrate. I want to create, to destroy, to defend myself, to react, the inner voices are in the back of my head and haunt my existence. They drag me into a pit of chaos. Yeah, well, I give up, I just want to float and let things manifest. Oh wait, I’m not the only one in the room.“
Two separate stories that imply the need for our attention, recreating the chaos that this condition presupposes for the people who experience it. Constantly using our body language and music to create images that transform over time and have an impact on the scene.
Frantics Dance Company
Frantics is a contemporary dance-theatre company based in Berlin. Coming from different backgrounds, its members share a collective perspective on creative processes and expression.
Their shows combine both urban and contemporary; textual and physical theatre. They create for traditional spaces, site specific and outdoor venues that communicate with versatile audiences. Frantics mission is to inspire and transform people from all backgrounds, however small such changes may seem initially. Sharing their art from deep within, Frantics transformed their passions into their way of life.
Their works are touring around the globe. They received awards from RIDCC, Burgos New York, Hannover Choreographic Competition, Danza en el Camino, The Jerusalem International Choreography Competition and more.
